In January 2024, ripe fruits of Coffea ambongensis were collected in Antsanitia, depulped, and then dried in the shade at room temperature for one week. In February 2024, approximately seventy seeds were sown in pots. The first germination was observed in September 2024, seven months after sowing. By November 2024, germination was still ongoing for some seeds, while the majority of the developed seedlings had grown taller than 6 cm. However, the number of germinated seeds remained lower than the number initially sown.
