September 2024
Following the prospecting missions, a number of individuals were selected within each population and for each species to be the focus of detailed monitoring. Each studied individual was assigned a unique code, labeled on its main axis. A mark was placed on the last segment of the axis formed at the time of observation. Growth measurements and phenological status were recorded. These individuals will be monitored during both the dry and rainy seasons, with monthly observation intervals. The first observation took place in September 2024.
February 2025
Monitoring of growth and phenological stages of the marked individuals continued through February 2025 and will be maintained in the coming months. At each observation, phenological stages—including leafing, leaf fall, flowering, and fruiting—were recorded. Simultaneously, growth measurements were taken on the trunk and branches during each monitoring session.
Environmental Parameters
At each observation, six environmental parameters were measured for each of the studied individuals. This approach aims to examine the interactions between environmental factors and biological processes, particularly phenology and growth. The recorded variables include soil fertility, soil pH, sunlight exposure, soil moisture, soil temperature, and ambient humidity.
