The collection of ripe Coffea bissetiae fruits began in December 2024 in Ankarafantsika and continued in Antsanitia. This effort involved six distinct populations, with four located in Ankarafantsika and two in Antsanitia. Once transported to Mahajanga, the fruits were placed in paper packaging and stored at room temperature.
Using the same methodology, ripe fruits were also collected between January and February 2025 from four populations of Coffea boinensis in Ankarafantsika and two populations of Coffea ambongensis in Antsanitia.
